The raw material originating from our own poplar (Populus sp) plantations, have been subject to a comprehensive "plant health control" and proper forest management, subject to the highest demands. This program, which is designed with a 12 year maximum rotation cycle (seeding to cropping), has enabled us to achieve a high performance, which combined with the development of specialized technology makes it possible for us to always offer a consumer end product of highest quality.. Within our environmental sustainability program we are dedicated to never plant less than three new trees for every one felled.
Our poplar and radiata pine plantations boast the highest standards within the mechanical requirements, well above the levels of any other variety of the species. An example being that our poplars weights on average 50 percent less than other species - facilitating the production process through higher efficiency during the insertion to the chains, regardless of perforation size and thus reducing shortage in the production. This translates to a lower requirement of both manpower and raw material in the match producing process - thus lowering the final production costs.
The above fact combined with the convenient location of our plant in the midst of our plantations, allows us to control our supply of raw material and thereby helping us become a very reliable supplier.
